The Micragirls - Are You Insane, Girls?

(Muysic for Peoples '02)

This one year old girl quarter have now accomplished their first record, which is a five song EP, released by Muysic for Peoples label. I've heard that it was recorded in their rehearsal room in two hours, and obviously they were also drunk. Well there's some good sides of that, 'cause now it sounds really authentic and raw. There's naturally some blunders and sometimes I can barely hear what the singer yells, but these things don't matter so much, 'cause the energy covers these little mistakes. As said their music is little bit like old Thee Ultra Bimboos, Larry and the Lefthanded and Aavikko mixed together, and yeah the result is juicy. Altogether this EP contains five great songs, my favorite ones are freaky "Evil Roller Coaster", "Sloop" and finely swinging "Peanut Duck". I'm not sure how much the girls have been involved in the song writing process, but I know that "Evil Roller Coaster" is made by Staufenbiel Brothers, and if I remember right, "Peanut Duck" is a cover of Marsha Gee. If you don't have any sense of humour and you like only professionally produced music, you shouldn't buy this, but otherwise get this, and set up a party.
