Rakkautta & Rottia: Studiolive 11.3.2002

Fuck me! This five-song piece starts up really good! Pakoon Manalaa, the first song, is a catchy retrotune with mexican and spanish melodies and fuck, I could even sing the chorus without knowing the fucking lyrics! Unfortunately the volume- level is rather downside, so I had to crank up my knobs to hear something. Now that I listen more of this, it sounds like massive mix of some old Finnish legends like Royals, The Jukka Tolonen Band, and hell, even a bit of Sara and Viikate. The singing sounds really good and cheesy, not to mention the songs themselves. A very nice groove indeed. The third song, Sun Silmissä Sielu, starts of as a ballad and goes like that up until the last second. Some quirky guitar-work and nice melodies. With the fourth song, Sunnutaina, were back in business with groovy rock and a nice set of wahhywahhy-guitarwork. At the chorus it turns out to be a summer-pop-song, really. Blah. The final song of this piece, Ihmisen Vuoksi, is a five-minuter, kinda boring, not really much to listen. As a whole this piece is not altogether bad.
