The Sexual Phurniture: Demo 2002

Another Finnish band, The Sexual Phurniture, offers better-than-an-average-demo with this three-piece cd. The first song, The Silly Walk, is mostly a pop-song, but if I'm not completely wasted I hear rocky wanking in the background; the game must not be lost yet! And it isn't! The second song, Standardized, really gets on with the rocky touch and shit, this sounds almost good! Yes, it sounds almost good, but only because there's still something missing from this quintet. The sound that gives it a bit more color, a sound that bonds the others together. I'll say it clearly enough: Imagine five rivers running side by side into nowhere, but if they all would end up in a big fucking lake it would be bigger and better. The third and last song, Glance, is melancholic-pop and a bit slower and here we find that bonding sound. I hafta warn you rockers that this isn't really rock, but could really ease your hangover (or make it a whole lot worse).
